Foreword from the Minister

We are one of the great fishing nations of West Africa, a mainstay of the world's cashew trade, and the custodians of the Bijagós, an archipelago we hold in trust for our people and for the world. These are not promises for the future. They are strengths we already hold, and we are determined to build lasting value from them here, at home, with partners who share that ambition.

So to the investors and entrepreneurs weighing Guinea-Bissau, my message is a simple and sincere one, you are welcome here. We are glad you are looking our way, and we are ready to meet those who want to build with us, to start enterprises, create good work for our people, and grow alongside a country intent on making the most of what it has.

This portal is that invitation, extended plainly. We will not oversell. We will show you what is real, be honest about what is hard, and stand with those who choose to build here. What we offer in return is partnership in earnest, a fair hearing, a straight answer, and a government that keeps its commitments.
